2. The Indian Men's Hockey on whom the film is based upon made their first move to win a gold at the Olympics in 1948 in London and on whose struggle the movie is completely based upon. The London Olympics which held after the World War 2 occurred after 12 years after the Berlin Olympics in 1936.

3. The Indian Hockey team on whom the film is based upon was a new team from India who played and rocked the arena with their Skills. The next win was over Argentina with 9-1 and progressive win in the quarter final against Spain with 2-0, India defeated Holland in the semi final with a difference of 1 goal and at the finals defeated its former ruler England with a 4-0 mark.
